    Read DH and was absolutely blown away, loved it! I'm also loving all the discussions popping up all over LJ.

    Random idea: what if Neville is rubbish at Potions because he's colourblind, eh?

    Cedric Diggory
    I realised that if I had to pick one character (except Harry) that would my favourite in RL, it'd most definitetely be Cedric Diggory. He has so much potential as a person in the book, and great looks and kindness to top it off, and also is probably the character that begs for AU fics most- a genre that I adore. I started being interested in what ifs and fanfiction after reading Goblet of Fire, and that started with imagining what would happen if Cedric were still alive. 

    But I feel a decisive lack of good (novel length!) Cedric fic in fandom, and I can't understand that. He makes a wonderful pairing with Harry, and there's also plenty of potential for genfic or het. He's not too fleshed out in canon, but there's more to go by than with Pansy Parkinson for instance. In fact, untill book 6 we had about as much insight in Draco Malfoy's character, as we had in Cedric's; we knew their backround, their house, their attitude towards Harry, their house and their interests (as in Quidditch and girlfriends). So why this ignoring of a perfectly fine character? 

    I admit there was a rising of Cedric fic after the fourth movie came out, but the majority of the stories produced, were short, Robert Pattison spin-offs. Which doesn't constitute good Cedric fic, nor does it interest me. 

    So please, if you've written good Cedric fic or know good Cedric fic, tell me. If you know a hidden treasure trove of Cedric rec lists, tell me. If you feel inspired and are about to write good Cedric fic, I will be your eternal slave.

    Just a completely late Happy Birthday to Harry and Neville! I did a quick portrait of Neville, because he seems to be lacking in attention. ;) And check out the lovely icon made for me by [info]nimori!

    I'm off again tomorrow, after a few days of being home but having oh so many things to do... I sincerely apologise for the lack of activity at my LJ! I'll be back at the end of August. Woe. But then, I'll probably be having a good time. Jay. *tired*

    Mid-exam doodles
    Yay! Did my last exam of the month yesterday! I'm leaving for Florence with an orchestra the 28th, so have about a week to get some rest, and to shop. *winks*

    Anyway, I was pointed into the direction of the oekaki drawing boards by [info]aragon_san and did an I-really-need-to-study-but-want-to-take-a-break-drawing very early yesterday morning. My study habits are the worst... XD

    I'm so happy to have finished this, I've been working on it since *thinks back* what, two months? In little pieces anyway! As usual, I see loads of tiny mistakes, but at this stage I think it's more trouble to change them than to leave it at status quo. I'm satisfied, because it's my first Snape solo, and it looks good enough for me!

    Because of the recent hype about photo-reference - yes, I did use a picture of Adrien Brody at the beginning to get the angle (and the size of the nose) right, but the rest is mine! XD

    I'm feeling like rubbish, and have lost 3 kilos in 2 weeks without even trying to lose weight. That freaks me out, I need to get my body back together...*morose* So what exactly does one do, when feeling down? Right, draw lord Voldemort!
